The Monona Farmers’ Market breaks out the tables at Ahuska Park this weekend for the first time in 2011.
The Monona event might not have the number of vendors that the market on the square does, but everything is first rate (if somewhat limited).
Plan on getting fresh vegetables, berries, bouquets, fresh breads, home-made bakery items, jams and jellies, locally raised beef, pork and buffalo, vine ripened tomatoes, and sweet corn.
The market hasn’t posted a list of this year’s vendors, but come on out and check things out. The playground at Ahuska is perfect for the little ones to play on as well.
Don’t miss this – it’s one of those great, small events that makes Monona so special.
